Ho! Ho! Ho! Season's Greetings!!
Yes, folks, it's that time of the year again - seems like only last week that it was last Christmas!! Where did the year go?!? Time really does fly by if you're having fun!!
Speaking of fun, the new year of 2004 will see a return to intensive action on the part of your friends in Skystone. We have a very full schedule of gigs booked, and there should be ample opportunity for all our friends and fans to get out to hear us in action. Plus the new
CD will finally be available for sale at our gigs or from individual band members at $15.00 each. You can also obtain copies by mail by sending $16.50 (to cover cost plus mailing) to:
Adrian Duncan
3027 Armada Street
Coquitlam, BC
Canada V3C 3S4
If you're planning to buy copies at a gig, an email to this address would be appreciated so that we bring enough copies!!!
Anyway, as far as gigs go in January, here's how things look:
January 8 and 10 (Thursday and Saturday) - Atlantic Trap &
Gill.
A return to our spiritual home for some no-holds-barred East Coast shenanigans with our hard-core East Coast supporters! Ya all know the Trap, b'yes - Davie & Seymour!
January 8th is Elvis's birthday, and who knows what might happen on that day?!? Come down and find out!! 8:00 pm start both nights. This will also be the weekend at which we'll be launching our new CD "A Taste of Things to Come" - bring money!!!
January 23rd/24th/25th - The Wolf & Hound (West Broadway and Dunbar).
This will showcase a totally different side of Skystone - our Scots roots! Yes, folks, it's Robbie Burns Weekend, an' we'll jist get doon tae it in grrand Scots style, ye ken!! We've done Burns Night with our friend Jacquie Metzler for the past five years now at Culpepper's and now the Wolf, and it's always a great occasion! Adrian will proudly wear the family kilt (and drink the family whisky!), and we'll be doing a completely different program featuring plenty of the Scots classics that make Burns Day so enjoyable. And jist wait 'till ye see oor Address tae the Haggis!!! We dae it richt!! Jacquie will have the place all decked oot wi' a' the trimmin's, the Angus MacKenzie dancers will be there wi' the piper an' a grrand time wull be ha'ed by a'!!! If you plan on coming on The Day itself (Sunday January 25th), PLEASE make a reservation, otherwise there's little chance that you'll get in. This gig always sells out, so the reservation really is essential. Best Burns Night in town, bar none!! Start time - 8:30 pm.
January 29th and 31st (Thursday
and Saturday) - Atlantic Trap &
Gill
After that, it's back to the Trap to jolt us back into East Coast mode and work off the effects of the haggis! All in all, a full month of playing for us and plenty of chances for you to get out and enjoy the band!! Hope to see you all at the gigs!!
Cheers,
Adrian and the Skystone mob
